Our Pastors

Vince Gierer

Since co-founding a YoungLife area in 1997 as a college student at UConn, Vince has been committed to seeing more people, more like Jesus in the Storrs area. Working as a high school ministry leader, a local pastor, and now as a hospital chaplain, Vince has learned the value of drawing on diverse Christian traditions for a richer, fuller experience of God.

Emily Gierer

Emily came to UConn in 2005 to pursue a Ph.D. in American Literature. Though she had originally planned on a career as a university faculty member, she discovered her love of teaching could be utilized outside the traditional classroom as she became involved in various local ministries, including UConn's Graduate Christian Fellowship

Our sermons help you apply the wisdom of God to the circumstances of your life.

Rather than talking at you, we use interactive and engaging teaching to help you listen to God for yourself and better understand His words of encouragement and guidance.

Our Community

"St. Timothy's services explore different way of experiencing God, which has encouraged my spiritual growth and development to a whole new level. At the end of the day, it is a community I always want to come back to. I don’t know where I’d be without the love and support of this community."

"For a long time, I never understood why people would say, 'I have a church home.' Why, 'home'? That sense of belonging was so foreign to me. I never had a church home, though I've sat in many pews. Now, after being a part of this community, I fully understand why a church can be a home--a truly rich space to belong, to live and to thrive with God."

"St. Timothy's is a home where I can experience the embrace of God. As a community, we are all seeking God in different ways, at different stages, but together. "

Give to St. Timothy's

Everything we do at St. Timothy's is made possible by the generous support of people who share our passionate commitment to seeing more people like Jesus at UConn and beyond.

Whether it's a one-time gift or a regular monthly tithe, we believe giving back to God what He has given us is as important an act of worship as anything we do on Sunday evenings.
